SCLBaghdad

Vision

To establish an academically grounded, publicly accessible digital platform that critically explores the historical, cultural, and spatial layers of Baghdad. Through the integration of ethnographic research, archival documentation, and participatory methodologies, the project seeks to contribute to the preservation of urban memory and the reimagining of Baghdad’s future through heritage-informed urban practice.

أَعَزُّ مَكانٍ في الدُّنيا سَرْجُ سابِحٍ وَخَيرُ جَليسٍ في الزَّمانِ كِتابُ

“A charger’s saddle is an exalted throne,
and the best companions are books alone.”
